As mum’s, we know that your first foray into family holidays can be a shock to the system. No matter how much advice you get from friends, family, relatives, doctors or health visitors, which is of course very valuable, but no one knows the reality of planning a holiday with kids like other mums do, because mums know their own child’s needs. That's why we devised baby on holiday, so that you can get all the essentials for your baby or toddler’s holiday, delivered to your destination on time every time. As mums we are in the best position to understand how hard it is to pack and prepare for a holiday with a baby and we hope our site can relieve some of that burden, leaving you free to enjoy your break. Travelling with a baby The idea of travelling with a baby can seem like it’s up there with climbing Mount Everest to many new parents. But it doesn't have to be a challenge; in fact holidays with babies can be some of the best you'll ever have. Unlike older children, babies don't prefer Euro-Disney to Euro-chic, they don't demand McDonald's or constant entertainment, and, on the whole, they are very portable. In fact it might be the last chance you'll get to recreate the romantic ambience of those long forgotten child-free days! As parents, we know what we're talking about. With the right preparation, a holiday with your baby can be just as enjoyable, if not more so, than a holiday without. And let's face it, you're never more likely to need a holiday than you do right now. Travelling with toddlers As all parents soon find out, travelling with a toddler in tow is a whole different ball game to travelling with a baby. On the one hand, you get the pleasure of seeing your child start to appreciate the experiences – although don't be over ambitious, clearly we don't mean gasps of admiration about the Taj Mahal at sunset! On the other hand, the fact that your toddler is now mobile, restless and much more capable of upsetting other holiday makers could have you praying for sunset yourself – if only so reaching for the sangria falls within the normal boundaries of respectability! Again the key is preparation, if you want to make sure you're not soon hankering back to the 'halcyon' days before their first words, (save that for the teenage years).
